Blackedout – Vessel

Last time we heard from Blackedout, he was getting everyone drunk off that foamy “Champagne” diet in preparation for the New Year. The mysterious producer is back once again with another cut leading up to his forthcoming sophomore EP.

Preceded by the soothing sounds of running water and ambient restaurant chatter and clinking silverware, “Vessel” is a downtempo track rooted in a deep, vibrating bass-line, with spaced out synths and pitched vocals. It possesses the same hazy yet dreamy tone as some of the producer’s previous work, covering notes like a light drizzle on a grey winter’s morning before pouring on a drum-powered, trap-infused rush of sound. Like sun after the rain, shimmering notes softly close out the track before fading into silence.

Blackedout seems to have a knack for chill-out music made for chilly weather, so expect this to tide you over until his EP comes out this spring. Break out the hot chocolate and peppermint schnapps, get comfy and listen below.
