Eric Prydz - Liberate

Posted on Mar 10, 2014 in Brand New, Electronic

What exactly defines the “hottest record in the world”? It’s certainly a bold statement, but that’s exactly what BBC Radio 1′s Zane Lowe is calling Eric Prydz new track.

To be fair, Lowe names “hottest records” on almost a daily basis, but this one is certainly deserving of the title. “Liberate” is especially sizzling because it isn’t. The playful, electronic gem keeps things cool, knowing it needs not show off. It dances breezily through 80s synthesizers and modern vocals which continue to echo in your head long after the song ends. The track is incredibly light but brilliantly crafted. Soft spoken, yet youthful and careless.

“Liberate” isn’t about to scorch the dancefloors, but it’ll certainly leave you glowing. And in the end it’s the cool energy mastered by Eric Prydz that will make you melt. Watch for it soon on Pryda Recordings, and see Pryda vs Mau5trap live in Miami on March 27th.
