Downtown Party Network – Space Me Out (Mario Basanov Remix)

Posted on Oct 23, 2013 in Deep House

Meet Saulty and Bradka, the duo behind Downtown Party Network. Their tracks have been released by labels such as Get Physical, Eskimo, and most recently, Silence Music, as their newest work culminates in the form of the Space Me Out EP, which made its way into online music shops earlier this week.

The stand-out on the EP is the title track remix by Mario Basanov, which featured a few weeks ago in Dixon’s acclaimed Essential Mix. Where the original track is a piano-laden, melodic cut of deep, leisurely house, Basanov creates more of an atmospheric shell that places more focus on the otherworldly vocals by Egle Sirvydyte. The remix still maintains the deepness, but does so in a more simplistic manner, slowly building in intensity with a blunter, harder kick before suddenly releasing into a few moments of blissful weightlessness. The rest of the track is a smooth ride from there; it’s the ideal sunrise song for sets coasting into the early hours of the morning.
