Stefano Ritteri & Robosonic – She Was On My Mind

Posted on Aug 14, 2013 in Dance Floor, Deep House

When we last heard of Robosonic, the music duo had been collaborating with the Adana Twins on the disco-inspired La Fique EP, which undoubtedly sticks out to many as their soundtrack to summer. As the year heads closer into the fall, Robosonic return for another go in the studio, this time for OFF Recordings, with whom they have maintained a huge relationship and sizeable catalog, including “Worst Love” and “The Edge.” Their most recent collaboration includes Italian-born Stefano Ritteri, who sees his own debut on the label after climbing up the music ladder with releases on dirtybird, Defected, Pets, and Exploited.

Together, the group has come up with what is sure to be a surefire hit in “She Was On My Mind.” Sampling a pitched version of R&B diva Tamia’s “Tell Me Who,” this song is a modern, darker take on heartbreak, albeit with a melody and bass-line that surge throughout the body like electric lust. It’s a deep house bomb guaranteed to ignite the most crowded of dance-floors at its peak.
