Krewella - Live For The Night

Get ready to play this new Krewella track at all the parties this weekend!! “Live for the Night” is a fun, has a catchy melody, and it has a definite electro-pop flair.

“Live for the Night” is the first single off Krewella’s new album coming out this fall. The lyrics, belted from the pipes of the beautiful Yousaf sisters, are simple and all about partying- typical of Krewella. A growling bass sound is present, however it is not in the forefront due to the sugar-coated synths taking center stage- not-so typical of Krewella. In my opinion, the lack of electronic rage and rumble on this song is sort of a bummer considering Krewella used to be a group I used to classify as electro house and sometimes even dubstep. That said, it’s still a super dancey & fun track.

Krewella is signed to make their upcoming album with Columbia Records, who snatched up the EDM trio after the success of “Alive.” Columbia Records is a powerhouse company, signing the biggest of the big names in the music entertainment world, from Adele to MGMT to The Shins… So what does this mean for Krewella? We can definitely expect their upcoming productions to be pop radio-ready. We shouldn’t get too down on the top40 status of Krewella though, they are still coming out with some big collabs with Gareth Emery and Nicky Romero.

You can find me raging hard on this track, especially at the line “I’m bangin’ super loud turn that bitch into a screamer” …see what I did there?
