Ellie Goulding - Stay Awake (Prod. by Madeon)

Posted on Mar 27, 2013 in Pop

If you’re an Ellie Goulding fan, you may have heard “Stay Awake” months ago, as it came out on Goulding’s UK Halcyon album back in October. So, I hear you if you’re mumbling to your computer screen, “hey, that’s not technically a new song.” Producer Madeon posted the song to his Soundcloud, and it’s now available on Beatport, so “Stay Awake” is gaining (or regaining) attention in the EDM world. Goulding’s dazzling, glittery voice and dreamy lyrics shimmer around the light synthy beginning of the track, and her voice holds power when the drums hit. That drum sound is a slow tempo drum ‘n’ bass beat, making the song a great chill-out track.
