Lincoln Jesser - In My Dreams ft. Yuna

Posted on Mar 8, 2013 in Nu Disco, Pop, Progressive Disco

After jumping from genre to genre over the past year, Lincoln Jesser seems to be finding his niche with his latest release, ‘In My Dreams‘, which features crossover Malaysian pop star and label mate Yuna.

In My Dreams opens with a lo-fi guitar that sounds beamed in from an old AM radio station, but quickly opens up into a shimmering nu-disco cruiser topped off with analog 80s synths that manages to stay high energy while comfortably taking its time. The song gradually becomes more and more of a duet between Lincoln and Yuna-whose beautiful voice feels just as right on this track as on her jazzier album cuts produced by Pharrell-and by the last hook there is no doubt that this track is more than your average dance tune. Be on the lookout for Lincoln’s entire ‘In My Dreams EP’, available on iTunes March 26.
