Robotic Pirate Monkey - Jolene

Posted on Jul 13, 2011 in 90s, DubStep, Remixes

I’d like to introduce you to Robotic Pirate Monkey (RPM for short). Don’t be fooled by the name, this up and coming DJ trio out of Boulder Colorado is not monkeying around. They are putting out sick dubstep remixes to some well selected tracks. This particular version of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” reminds me of Pretty Lights before the “Finally Moving” sample at the end because it brings a completely new idea to a classic song. Enjoy the chill dubby vibes to these tracks as well including a remix of Bill Withers “Ain’t No Sunshine”, Modest Mouse’s “I Came as a Rat”, and The Presidents of The United States “Peaches”.
