Noir and Hayze - Angel

Posted on Feb 24, 2014 in Acid, Deep House, Future

It sounds ironic at first. An “Angel” sent from the dark depths of the house of Noir.

The post-apocalyptic acidity wastes no time grabbing hold of you as it drips over a powerful industrial bassline. And as the track pulses forward, it gains a energetically dreary mystique, carried by Hayze’s desperate but matter-of-fact vocals.

Noir and Hayze previously teamed up on “Around” which was selected as Pete Tong’s Essential New Tune in November 2011, back when Hayze was simply Haze. Like the name change, the duo’s upcoming track is a bit more in-vogue - but still understated. And as slight as the difference may sound, it will be plenty to carry appeal across various electronic music scenes.

The pair may be looking for something bright and heavenly, but it’s the darkness that gives “Angel” its aura. Listen below and pick it up March 17th on Beatport (March 31st on iTunes).
