Breach tapped for DJ-Kicks compilation

Posted on Sep 19, 2013 in Compilation Album, News

Ben Westbeech, the man behind Breach, has been recruited to create his own compilation for !K7’s mix-series DJ-Kicks.

Westbeech’s edition of the long-running series succeeds those of Digitalism, Hercules and Love Affair, Maceo Plex, and most recently John Talabot, whose formal DJ-Kicks announcement was made just weeks ago. This particular 15-track compilation is overwhelmingly house-oriented, with tracks from artists ranging from veteran-status Fred P and Innercity to the relatively newer duo Detroit Swindle and CLOSE. Also making the album are mysterious group Dopplereffekt, whose “ZBoson” will provide an ambient break amongst the 4/4 beats, and Pedestrian’s deep house cut “Hoyle Road.” While some of the songs—“Attention Seeker” and Dusky’s remix of CLOSE’s “My Way,” to be specific—have been played out many a time in Westbeech’s mixes (including in his Essential Mix), Breach’s own “Beroving” will be making an exclusive appearance on the record. Catch the tracklist below:
