Kill Frenzy launches Stay X Gold label, gives away EP

Dirtybird member and Belgium native Sébastien Vanschoonbeek, aka Kill Frenzy, has been unleashing booty-bass upon the masses since the tender age of 17. His most notable track thus far, “Make That Booty Clap,” catapulted him into the spotlight back in late 2011, and he has since branched out into tech house and techno with releases on Moda Black and Hervé.

Frenzy’s latest venture was unveiled yesterday, when he announced the creation of his own imprint, Stay X Gold, which stands to host free tracks, bootlegs, and edits that would normally not be released. With this news comes Stay X Gold’s first EP: the first track is a mellow, sample-filled edit of Whitney Houston’s “It’s Not Right,” which contains cosmic synths along with dirtybird’s signature bottomless bass-line, and it has a certain kind of cheekiness to it. “Stay Gold” is slower and more cerebral, with angelic vocal samples and harmonies that liken it to Synkro’s emotive material; it’s more along the lines of straight bass music rather than bass-filled house.
