Sandals, shades, beach towel, sunscreen, volleyball and plenty of beverages. Some essentials for a good beach party. But whatever you do, remember to bring the Viceroy.

Noted for his self-described love of pool parties and the glamor that comes with them, the San Francisco “summertime, all the time” producer blasts the yearning of Maroon 5′s heart-felt “Love Somebody” with shimmering synths and a driving bassline. A large amount of the vocals are kept intact, but they go hand-in-hand with the track’s newfound brightness. Care-free and full of energy, you should have no trouble dancing up a sweat to this one.

Working on a Maroon 5 track isn’t the first time Viceroy has had mainstream appeal however. Just last year, he released an original collection of summery electro-pop classics, and he has also remixed some others you may have heard of (Wiz Khalifa, Passion Pit, Biggie, and Montell Jordan to name a few). And with his remix of “Love Somebody”, he avoids the shade and lives up to his motto once again.

Download the remix for free below, and while you’re at it, check out the artistically stunning original music video from Jeff Dotson and Rich Lee.
