Sub Focus ft. Alex Clare - Endorphins [Preview]

Posted on Mar 20, 2013 in Drumstep, DubStep, Preview, Trance

Over the last year Sub Focus has made a definitive shift away from his bass-heavy sound and assumed a more radio-friendly blend of drum n bass and dubstep. His edgier productions have become more melodically driven; the sternum shattering drops replaced by the breath-taking pads and synths found on tracks like ‘Out The Blue’ and his recent hit ‘Tidal Wave’.

Premiered on BBC Radio 1 a couple days ago, Sub Focus’ new single ‘Endorphins’ maintains the tempered vibe for a lush combination of drumstep and trance. Alex Clare provides soulful vocals that are carried warmly atop the soft and emotional melody. This track is the most obvious departure from Sub Focus’ previous work, but it shows that he is growing as an artist and it will be an excellent addition to his discography. ‘Endorphins’ will be officially released on May 26th.
