Rustie - Triadzz/Slasherr

Posted on Mar 19, 2013 in Electronic, Experimental, Trap

As EDM continues to become increasingly common, Rustie continues to further distance himself from cookie-cutter releases. His new double A-side is even less EDM than his previous releases and carves up the space between trap, hip-hop, and hard dance.

Both tracks feature synthesized strings and scatter hand claps over chill tempos, but “Triadzz” is the more identifiable of the two. It clearly dips into the the trap genre, albeit momentarily, while it’s sidekick “Slasherr” is more melodic, letting the synths dominate a cutting hip-hop rhythm.

If you’re looking for a change of pace and have a weakness for hip-hop instrumentals, this one could hit the spot. Available for download now on iTunes.
