Ingen Anden Drøm - Morten Breum & Pegboard Nerds

Posted on Jan 17, 2012 in Brand New, DubStep

You may remember our friend Morten Breum from his awesome remix of Levels, but it’s been some time since we’ve heard from the Danish sensation. Most likely because he’s been touring around the US, destroying clubs from LA to Miami to NYC. He rang in the New Year at Pacha in New York, along side Arty, Cazzette, and Swanky Tunes. He’s also played at LAVO in NYC, LIV in Miami, and Playhouse in LA. It’s fair to say Morten has been a bit busy these past few months.

Just released yesterday, “Ingen Anden Drøm” is a collaboration between Breum and Danish dubstep duo Pegboard Nerds. Never mind I have no idea what the beautiful lyrics from Anne Linnet mean, the track rocks out in typical dirty dub fashion. I was a little surprised at how hard the track dropped, but it’s a welcome contrast to the mesmerizing vocals. I enjoy seeing Morten branch out from his signature housey sound, and showcase his true artistic versatility. In the coming months, Breum will continue to rock clubs around the US, so if you are in LA, Miami, or NYC keep a lookout, his mixing skills are top notch. He will also be performing at the famous Ultra Music Festival at the end of March, where I hope to catch up with him.
