DJ Fresh ft. Rita Ora - Hot Right Now

Posted on Jan 9, 2012 in Bangers, Drum n Bass, Preview

Drum n Bass… I can hear some of you wincing already, but bare with me. While dnb has never been the most popular electronic genre, there are producers out there who have made it much more accessible to unfamiliar ears. DJ Fresh is one such producer. His upcoming single, “Hot Right Now,” slated for release on February 12th, is an uplifting dnb anthem that will undoubtedly push its way into the UK charts. DJ Fresh capitalizes on the same euphoric sound as his previous No. 1 single “Louder,” but “Hot Right Now” boasts a much stronger vocal element, provided by Rita Ora. Although it lacks the mammoth dubstep drop of “Louder,” the vocals and upbeat dnb rhythm carry you excitedly through the track with ease. This track is sure to pack the dance floor, but I could just as easily listen to it on a morning drive, or while studying for an exam. “Hot Right Now” may not do much to break the mold of its predecessor, but I think DJ Fresh has really tapped into a sound that has universal appeal, so why not run with it for awhile? This is a fantastic song and will paint a smile right across your face. It’s just a little drum n bass… Don’t be shy.
