Style of Eye - KIDS (ft. Soso)

Both electrifying and profound, ironically-titled “KIDS” is proof that EDM is more than just a drug-fueled, glowstick-throwing binge of adolescence.

The vocals provided by Soso describe, somewhat humorously at first, “generic hipster[s] with no sex appeal” before becoming briefly somber. “You hurt yourself today to see if you still feel.” Of course, Style of Eye isn’t here to take the fun away. In fact, the Swedish producer drives these true-to-life highs and lows with spirited synths and dub step breaks, resulting in an outpour of energy that can play big at any festival.

This level of versatility is certainly rare as electronic music becomes increasingly mainstream, but Style of Eye continues to prove he’s the real deal. He released the massive “After Dark” collabo with Tom Staar earlier this year, was a pen on Icona Pop’s “I Love It”, and has remixed Zedd’s “Clarity” as well as Sebastian Ingrosso & Axwell’s “Roar”.

“Music, not genres is my motto. Whatever I feel is interesting at the moment will come out in what I do. I’d rather die trying to find that special place where time stands still than to safely repeat the same sounds over and over.’”
