Black Atlass – Paris (High Klassified Refix) [FREE DOWNLOAD]

In a genre that many consider to be highly over-saturated to the level of dubstep, Fool’s Gold’s most recent signee, Kevin Vincent, aka High Klassified, and his remix of Black Atlass’ “Paris” are a welcome breath of fresh air. The French-Canadian 19-year-old’s debut on the A-Trak-owned label is a blissfully chilled-out, liquid-leaning take on trap: its smooth, deep bass-line centers the body while the breathy, velvety vocals stroke the ears like a lover’s hand. It gives the original mix direction, and the body a gentle groove. The swift pitching down of vocals near the end? You’d think Tank grabbed the mic, which makes me wish the song didn’t have to stop so soon. This refix turns what was originally a mellow tune into numbers 1-10 of a bedroom playlist that gets the heart beating and the skin steaming. With a song like this bound to attract attention on an internationally-known label, High Klassified won’t stay secret for long.

The remix is available to stream and download below.
