Major Lazer - “Watch Out For This” (Flinch Remix) [Free Download]

Posted on Aug 16, 2013 in Bass, Remixes, Trap

Always a bit skeptical of remixed Major Lazer tracks, largely because the group is essentially a genre in and of itself, I apathetically pressed play on Flinch’s mix of “Watch Out for This (Bumaye)”. Well let me tell you, I’m now ready for the weekend.

Flinch has not only outdone himself, he’s outdone Major Lazer as well. It’s worth noting I am a fan of the original track and do still listen to it. However, there’s way more bounce and rabble-rousing to be had on the empowered remix - even without the original’s iconic horns. To accomplish this, Flinch pulls the breaks on the tempo, cuts up a chanting vocal sample, and drops a fresh trap beat that will shock you. Simple, yet remarkably unique.

Download the party-starter below and be ready to express yourself. Not that it should be very difficult thanks to Flinch.
