Kaskade - Atmosphere

Kaskade lends his vocals for the first time on any track in his production entitled “Atmosphere.” The song is not only a peek into the new album, to be released in the fall, but it is also a gander into Kaskade’s head. In an interview with MTV, Kaskade said that the quality of his singing performance was not the highlight of this song per say, but rather, capturing his raw emotion was what he was after. I mention this interview to accentuate the fact that MTV interviewed Kaskade, and in doing so they sort of paint him as the face of EDM (or at the very least, the popular music television network portrays Kaskade as electronic music’s Cover Boy) . Depending on the type of EDM snob you are, you either really respect this or really hate it. Regardless, the song is a big release in the EDM scene, you’ll most likely be hearing tons of it this summer and will probably get sick of all the remixes that will inevitably follow (just a guess). “Atmosphere” is also the namesake of his 4 city tour coming in the fall.
