Depeche Mode - Soothe My Soul (Steve Angello & Jacques Lu Cont Remix)

Posted on May 7, 2013 in Indie Dance, Progressive

In the post-Swedish House Mafia era, there’s no question that all eyes will be on each of the three members, eager to see where they move next as artists, DJs, and label heads. After playing out many of the same style of tracks throughout the past 18 months, a backtrack to the full-sounding progressive house music that shaped Steve Angello‘s career would certainly be refreshing. Case and point on his Depeche Mode remix, he teams up with legendary producer Stuart Price under his Jacques Lu Cont pseudonym, remixing the new single “Soothe My Soul”. The back half of the track is where this one really sings, when the instantly recognizable 80s-funk vocals hit Pryda-like waves of progressive synths - it’s nice to have Steve Angello return to this classic sound.
