Quintino & Alvaro - World In Our Hands

Posted on Mar 31, 2013 in Bangers, Dutch House

If you’re not a big fan of dutch house, it’s understandable. The simple drops are not for everyone. Quintino & Alvaro might have what it takes to change your mind though (or at least warm you to the subgenre a little) with their latest single.

Guided by springtime vocals and a light, euphoric melody, “World In Our Hands” has more mainstream appeal than typical Dutch House tracks. The builds are big as expected, but the drop also has a surprising amount of depth. Initially it almost sounds like two different tracks cut together, as if the vocals and drop don’t quite match, but this dissipates after a few listens and it actually becomes quite addictive. Overall, it’s a pretty impressive springtime anthem that just happens to have a dirty dutch foundation.
