Douglas Greed – This Time feat. Kuss

German label BPitch Control makes its first mark of the new year with the release of Douglas Greed’s “This Time,” featuring Kuss.  Greed joins a roster previously graced by the likes of Modeselektor, Apparat, and Paul Kalkbrenner, all of whom can credit BPitch for laying the foundation to their success.

“This Time” adds fuel to the fire of the deep house movement that has ignited a rise in popularity in recent months, with its gentle but enveloping bass and laid-back vocals that give the song an air of coolness.  The track opens with a hypnotic vocal loop that entrances the listener, and makes it worth the wait once Kuss’ soulful voice really takes over.  Atmospheric yet driving, “This Time” yields a quiet but commanding presence that, even during the downtime of a long and winding set, rewards those who pay close attention.
